Our director, Zalmy, started fitting flooring in April 1998 on a small select scale. As his customer base increased, he founded Carpet City Ltd as a one-man flooring business in November 1999. Over time, it evolved into a husband-and-wife operation, and flourished into a strong and passionate business, deeply rooted in family values, with our reputation for integrity, excellent customer service, quality flooring, and quick installation growing right alongside it.
Our core values of integrity and customer satisfaction remain central to our business to this day. After outgrowing our original space, we expanded to a small garage and later purchased our current warehouse in 2005 to accommodate growing demand.
Despite our growth into a leading flooring company, we’ve stayed true to our roots, and our focus has never wavered from gratifying our customers. By 2005, Carpet City had expanded significantly, prompting the move to a larger warehouse to accommodate the growing demand for their services. That same year, the company proudly introduced a fleet of vans with their bold red and yellow branding, becoming a recognisable presence in the industry. The team had grown, and with a full staff in place, Carpet City was positioned as a leading provider of high-quality flooring and expert installation services.
Carpet City proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary in November 2024. What started as a “one-man flooring business” has grown into a full-scale operation with a dedicated team of skilled fitters and knowledgeable staff.
