Rang this place seeking a little advice on products, spoke with a very young sounding office boy, who said he was at a reception desk and didn't know anything at all about carpets and couldn't put me through to anyone who does !
Response from the owner: We're sorry if our response didn't meet your expectations. We aim to provide helpful assistance to all our customers, regardless of who takes the call. We listened to the recordings of the call to verify your review. You called in asking about your old carpet which is over 20 years old, wondering if it was made of wool. Since you did not buy the carpet from us and we have not seen it, we couldn't be certain. You then asked if pouring bleach on it would change its colour, indicating it might be wool. My colleague explained that he couldn't advise on such technicalities and would need to put you through to one of the experienced sales team. Unfortunately, 3 sales colleagues were busy with other customers, so he couldn't transfer the call immedietly for further help. He asked for your contact information so that one of the sales team could call you back shortly to further assist you. You chose not to provide that information. The conversation ended suddenly when you slammed the phone in frustration. Our sales colleagues are often occupied with serving other customers, which may have resulted in the delay in providing the information you wanted. However, your feedback is crucial for improving our service. I believe in this case, that by providing your name and contact phone number to our colleague in reception (who does a fantastic job and whom we are very proud to have on the team!) this would have given us the opportunity to reach out to you when they became available. Please accept our sincere apologies for any frustration this may have caused. Don't hesitate to reach out via email to sales@carpetcity.co.uk and we will ensure that you receive the assistance you need.
